Truck accident on E4

According to the police, it has also been a quiet night in Kronoberg.

What stands out is a traffic accident on the E4, just south of Ljungby, where three trucks have collided.

The accident occurred at 11pm on Wednesday night.

According to the police, one of the trucks must have driven into the center railing and been left standing.

Two trucks that drove behind the first should then not have been able to brake in time, due to the poor road conditions, and drove into each other.

- A

lot happened there.

It was very slippery and took a long time to salvage them from the road, says Makus Hedin who is the force leader at the rescue service in Ljungby.

There are no reports of injuries in connection with the accident.

The snowstorm is expected to continue

The E4 in Ljungby municipality is completely closed in the northbound direction on Thursday morning and will, according to the Swedish Transport Administration's forecast, reopen in the morning.

The police assess that there is no crime behind the accident.

According to TT, the intensity of the snowstorm is expected to decrease during the day, and SMHI expects to be able to downgrade the warning level from orange to yellow, which is the lowest warning level.

At the far east of Öland, however, snowfall is not expected to subside until later in the night.
