China News Service, Beijing, December 2 (Reporter Liu Liang) Sinopec said on the 2nd that as winter temperatures continue to drop, demand for natural gas has grown rapidly.

Sinopec has accelerated the increase in natural gas reserves and production, and the daily gas production has continued to rise, and it has made every effort to ensure the supply of natural gas during the heating season.

The current daily natural gas production exceeds 100 million cubic meters. On November 26, the daily gas production reached 109.5 million cubic meters, which is the first step up to 100 million cubic meters, an increase of 7.6% from the 2020 peak daily output.

Sinopec said it produced 30.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas this year, an increase of 12.4% year-on-year, the largest increase in the same period in the past four years.

Since the beginning of this year, Sinopec has advanced preparations and accelerated the implementation of natural gas development plans and well positions, and continued to accelerate natural gas production and production, laying a solid foundation for increasing production and ensuring supply in winter.

As of the end of November, a total of 467 new wells have been put into production this year, with a new production capacity of 6 billion cubic meters, and a total of 30.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas produced, a year-on-year increase of 12.4%, the largest increase in the same period in four years.

With multiple measures taken, the daily output of multiple gas fields maintained an upward trend and reached a new level.

The daily natural gas output of Southwest Oil & Gas Branch reached a new level of 24.5 million cubic meters.

The Fuling shale gas field has accelerated the commissioning of new wells, with daily gas production exceeding 20 million cubic meters.

The Puguang Gas Field has optimized the production of gas wells, with a daily output of up to 26.5 million cubic meters of natural gas, a new high this year.

The cumulative gas production of North China Oil and Gas Branch in the tight sandstone gas fields in northern Hubei exceeded 50 billion cubic meters.

Northwest, East China, Northeast, Shanghai Ocean and other oil and gas branch companies continued to tap the potential to increase production and efficiency, and natural gas production continued to rise.
