Courts Meghan Markle and Prince Harry launch a crusade against British tabloids

London appeal
court
on
Thursday rejected
the appeal filed by a British newspaper,
convicted of an attack on
Meghan Markle's
private life
after publishing a letter that Prince Harry's wife had sent to her father.
"The appeal is rejected," the judge told the editor of the
Mail on Sunday,
the group Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL).
The court "upholds the decision that the Duchess could reasonably expect
her private life to be respected,
" the court added.
Meghan Markle
celebrated her victory
and expressed hope that the decision will
change the tabloid industry.
"This is a victory for me, but also for anyone who has been afraid to stand up for what is fair," Meghan Markle reacted in a statement.
"Most importantly, we are now collectively brave enough to
reshape a tabloid industry
that pushes people to be cruel and profits from the lies and pain they create."
