If Éric Zemmour has, for the moment, not succeeded in benefiting from weighty support for his presidential candidacy, the polemicist can count on a very structured team which works on his program.

Among his supporters, senior officials and ambassadors in office who prefer to remain anonymous for fear of sanctions.

Down in the polls, dropped by some of his supporters, Eric Zemmour nevertheless keeps a very solid team behind him.

The polemicist, officially a candidate for the presidential election since the posting of a YouTube video on November 30, is embarking on the race for the Elysee Palace in good company.

Senior officials, ambassadors, bankers ... Many of them work in the shadows on Eric Zemmour's program.

350 people work on the Zemmour program

At the head of the polemicist's team is a man: Jonathan Nadler, an investment banker.

In recent months, it has set up 28 thematic poles which are as many potential ministries: Education, Industry, or even "Legal sovereignty".

With the mission of producing notes, analyzes, and proposals for the candidate.

Each pole consists of eight to 30 people.

So around 350 contributors spend their evenings working on Eric Zemmour's program.

The operation is well established: the 28 division heads meet by video every Sunday evening around Jonathan Nadler.

And there are members of public administrations in each group.

They are responsible for verifying the technical feasibility of the proposals, with the objective of leading to concrete measures.

Senior officials who keep their anonymity

Some senior officials take risks for their careers.

In this team which works for Éric Zemmour, there are indeed ambassadors in office and diplomats subject to a very strict duty of reserve.

They don't want their name to be known so as not to be punished.

Other contributors are not exposed because they are retired.

This is the case of General de la Chesnais, four-star general and former number two in the army, or of Pierre Brochand, former boss of the DGSE.

This team has already produced concrete proposals: 75 to 80 since the start of Eric Zemmour's literary tour.

The candidate's full program will be made public in early 2022.
