Foreign Minister Hayashi met with Iran's Foreign Minister Abdrahian over the phone, calling for serious efforts towards an early return to the nuclear agreement and urging full cooperation with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency).
The telephone talk was held for about 35 minutes on the evening of the 2nd.
In this, Minister Hayashi stated that he would like to strengthen the traditional friendship between Japan and Iran in a wide range of fields, while Foreign Minister Abdrahian also responded that he would like to further deepen the relationship between the two countries.
