In Austria, the former Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz apparently wants to declare his resignation from his remaining political functions.

It is about the office of the chairman (the party chairman) of the Christian Democratic ÖVP and the office of the ÖVP club (parliamentary group) in the National Council.

Kurz resigned as a federal canon in October after investigations by the Corruption Prosecutor became known.

The Greens, coalition partners of the ÖVP, had threatened to end the cooperation otherwise.
