Three high school students from Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine) were arrested on Monday for a false bomb threat.

The same day, the Jules-Ferry high school in Versailles (Yvelines) had to be evacuated at the end of the morning after the police were notified of a suspicious package, reports 78actu.

45 police officers, including some from the Raid, and soldiers from the Sentinel force were mobilized.

A security perimeter has been set up in the area.

The intervention began around 1 p.m.

Dogs specializing in the search and detection of explosives were called upon to find the suspicious package.

High school students who wanted to "have fun"

After an hour and a half of searching, the police put an end to the device after learning that it was a bad joke.

The author of the phone call was quickly identified.

The police came to arrest him in his high school, as well as two comrades.

They admitted to doing this as a joke.

A joke that could cost them dearly.
