The first alarm came at 13.58.

Then a car had gone off the road on the E4 between Ljungby and Lagan.

According to the rescue service, it was a minor accident that had no major impact on traffic.

- It is very slippery on the E4, says Richard Ståhl, operations manager for the rescue service Ljungby.

Three truck accidents

After that, an alarm was received about three single-vehicle accidents where trucks drove off the road.

The first occurred on highway 30 at the roundabout at Nylandavägen in Växjö.

- Yes, it is snowing quite hard and according to the driver it was slippery on the spot, says Andreas Rosenberg, operations manager for Värend's rescue service.

40 minutes later, a truck drove off road 124 between Liatorp and Ljungby in Älmhult municipality.

The accident was partly due to the slipperiness, but according to the driver, the oncoming motorist was driving too close to the center line on the road, which meant that the truck had to give way and drove off.

Alarm about several accidents

At 15.50 an alarm came that another truck had been involved in a single-vehicle accident on the E4 between Hamneda and Traryd in Ljungby municipality.

There have been several alarms regarding vehicles that are stationary and have difficulty getting around in the snow.

None of the accidents have yet led to any serious injuries.

At the time of writing, alarms about traffic accidents in Kronoberg County continue to come in.
