The suspect of an ultra-violent rape arrested in Seine-et-Marne

Suspected of having raped a young 22-year-old woman on Sunday, November 21 in Sénart (Seine-et-Marne), a young adult was arrested, thanks in particular to video surveillance.

He was remanded in custody after being brought before the Melun prosecutor's office, reports

.

The suspect faces at least 15 years of criminal imprisonment.

The assault, described as ultra-violent, occurred around 11 p.m.

The young man approached the victim at Lieusaint - Moissy-Cramayel station.

He would then have succeeded in dragging her into the park of the Château d'eau, in Sénart, and would have beaten and raped her.

After the fact, the young woman, victim of a broken nose, went to the hospital.

The nursing staff then notified the police.

A judicial investigation has been opened.

Investigations are currently being carried out to find out whether the suspect is not responsible for other sexual assaults.
