Lukashenko spoke about the plans of the attackers to use weapons against the journalist RT

He stated this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, the transfer of the relevant contraband weapons was stopped by the KGB of Belarus.

It is noted that the weapons came through different channels.

So, for example, there was a plan to give it to migrants on the border with Poland, but it came from the territory of Ukraine.

“We noticed this, I think, three weeks ago, and began to record even earlier.

This arms traffic is already coming from Ukraine, this is a disaster ... And it began before the refugees.

And we have already shown these caches on TV, we have detained people, ”he said.

As noted by Lukashenka, in particular, there was a case when one cache was recorded near Minsk.

As a result, the law enforcement bodies detained the person who came for these weapons.

"We stopped (the use of weapons. -

) against the Russian military base, we showed it, against our journalists, against your journalist Kostya Pridybailo," the head of Belarus explained.

At the same time, he added that the purpose of this smuggling was also to organize a provocation so that armed clashes begin in the migrant camp, as well as on the Belarusian-Polish border.

In early July, the President of Belarus instructed the border troops to completely close the border with Ukraine due to the arrival of an impressive amount of weapons from the neighboring state.
