Lavrov said that Russia will continue to react toughly to the unfriendly steps of NATO

He stated this as part of his speech at the "government hour" in the Federation Council, RIA Novosti reports.

“We will continue to react harshly to any unfriendly steps, avoiding any damage to our national interests,” the head of the foreign policy department noted.

Earlier, Lavrov announced the transfer of significant units and military equipment of NATO countries, including American and British, to the borders of Russia.

The Russian Security Council emphasized that the growth of NATO activity increases the threat of armed conflicts on the Russian border.
