Arriving in the Ivanovo region from Africa will have to undergo a PCR test

It is noted that this rule will apply to those arriving from other countries in some regions of the world.

"The regional operational headquarters to combat the spread of a new coronavirus infection in the region, based on a letter from the Russian Ministry of Health, decided on mandatory PCR testing of all citizens who arrived in the Ivanovo region from Egypt, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and other African countries, as well as Hong Kong," said in a message from the government of the region.

The corresponding decision was made taking into account the spreading rate of the new omicron strain.

Earlier, Honored Doctor of Russia, Epidemiologist and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Onishchenko urged Russians not to panic over the omicron coronavirus strain.
