Giant and even space pandas, multicolored dragons… The kick-off of the brightest of cultural events will be given this Wednesday, December 1 in Blagnac.

The Lantern Festival, with its 2,500 patterns of silk, ceramic or porcelain, witnesses of ancestral know-how, lands on the 8 ha of the Parc des Ritouret.

With the pressure of the million visitors of the three previous editions in its Gaillac cradle, and in a tense health context.

Here are the answers to the practical questions you are asking yourself.

How to get there ?

So, already do not rush by car to get closer to the Ritouret park.

There are no parking spaces provided for visitors (except for people with reduced mobility) near the site.

For motorists, two solutions, at five euros per car: first the P5 parking lot at the airport, specially reserved and from which free shuttles will depart regularly.

Closer, the guarded car park with 3,000 spaces located on avenue de Frankfurt.

The other solution is the tram.

Tisséo will reinforce its trains and it will drop you off at the entrance to the park, via three stops of your choice: Pasteur, Odyssud or Le Relais.

And for those who like to walk on the banks of the Garonne at night, bicycle parking will also be available on avenue du Parc.

Where to buy tickets ?

To avoid a phenomenon of queues, the organizers recommend taking their places on the Internet before coming.

They cost 19 euros (adult rate) for the undated formula, 16 euros if they are on a fixed day.

There is also a possibility to purchase “physical” tickets at Midica, Blackstore and Intersport stores in the region.

What health precautions?

Although the festival takes place in the open air, the organizers were already planning, before the fifth wave, to impose the health pass on all visitors over 12 years old.

They also comply with the latest health instructions from the prefecture, which has just once again imposed the wearing of masks in all festive gatherings of more than ten people.

Don't forget to bring your own.
