The solution to the Hasslös preschool crisis: The library is moved

The demand for a place at Hasslö preschool is high, which SVT Nyheter Blekinge reported on several occasions.

In September, we told about how twelve children were denied a place and the municipality announced at the same time that the gender is expected to stand still at least until the summer - and then referred children to other preschools in the municipality.

Temporary solution

But on Tuesday, Karlskrona municipality announces that it has now made possible more space in the existing premises at the preschool.

In the room, there will now be room for almost an entire department.

This is possible thanks to the fact that the library's operations at Hasslö will be run by the mobile library from January 2022 and as long as the preschool needs the premises.

The school will continue to have a school library in accordance with the requirements of the Education Act.

The relocation is a temporary solution that must be evaluated on an ongoing basis.

Before the preschool can open the new department, staff must be recruited and the premises prepared.
