The focus is on salary supplements for employees and strengthening the support for administrative managers.

In total, it is SEK 104 million that the Regional Board will decide on 21 December.

- Above all, it is an investment in nurses in inpatient care.

We have difficulty recruiting there and therefore we now want to make a salary investment, says Malin Sjöberg Högrell (L), chairman of the hospital board.

The care association is critical

The message is met with criticism from the Healthcare Association, which believes that the new support is insufficient.

- Money is not everything.

Our employees need a functioning work environment and room for recovery.

It takes more than a salary supplement to improve those parts, says Kristian Hjertén, department chairman of Vårdförbundet Uppsala.

Behind the initiative are the Moderates, the Center Party, the Christian Democrats, the Liberals and the Green Party.
