The Valenciennes hospital center has published a 2022 calendar inspired by
Star wars.
It was produced with the participation of the fan-club of the saga, the 501st French garrison.
A copy will be given to each of the hospital staff and others will be sold for the benefit of an association.
The CHV strikes back. On the borders of the Hauts de France galaxy, on the small planet of Valenciennes, the caregivers of the hospital center have been fighting for many months against the powerful army of the vile coronavirus. Of course, they are not the only ones in the world to resist this dark force. But their chefs decided to thank them for their unwavering commitment by offering them an invaluable gift inspired by the saga imagined by George Lucas.
The project to create a 2022 calendar combining the activities of the Valenciennes hospital center (CHV) and the
Star Wars
saga
already dates back to last March.
“The goal was to integrate the hospital into the
Star Wars
universe
.
Corridors, a birth room or even the biology laboratory served as decorations, ”explains the management of the CHV.
Empire soldiers larger than life
To carry out this endeavor, the hospital teams were able to count on the one and only fan club recognized by Lucasfilm and Disney World Company: the 501st Legion, also nicknamed “Vader's fist”.
This fan club has no less than 15,000 active members in 50 countries around the world, including the French version, the 501st Legion French Garrison.
With their uniforms, exact replicas of those worn by the Imperial troops in the series, the members of the 501st staged themselves with medical staff in different places of the hospital during photo shoots.
The images were then reworked to look like the
Star Wars
universe
.
In all, 12 photos for the 12 months of the year 2022.
About 6,000 copies of this collector have been printed and will be offered to 5,200 CHV staff.
The rest will be sold by members of the Star Wars - 501st Legion French Garrison who will donate part of the proceeds to an association working with sick children.
