He stressed that the bill is "urgent" due to the spread of coronavirus infection in Russia.
Earlier, the Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin said that the bill on the QR code system will be sent by December 14 to the regions, as well as to the Public Chamber, the Federation Council and the Accounts Chamber for discussion.
On November 24, the State Duma Defense Committee supported the concept of the bill on QR codes and recommended the lower house of parliament to adopt it in the first reading.
