The Russian leader was asked whether he plans to run again for president and what other goals he would like to achieve for the country.

“In accordance with the Constitution, I have the right to be elected for a new term,” Putin said.

He noted that he had not yet decided for himself whether he would do it or not.

“But the very existence of this right already stabilizes the internal political situation,” the president said.

Earlier, US Congressmen Steve Cohen and Joe Wilson submitted to the US House of Representatives a proposal not to recognize Vladimir Putin as the head of the Russian state if he runs for president in 2024.

Alexei Chepa, first deputy chairman of the international affairs committee, called the resolution absurd.

The Kremlin called this initiative unacceptable and noted that in this way the United States is officially interfering in the internal affairs of other countries.
