Jordanian activists launched, through social media platforms, a campaign to demand the release of an activist detained against the backdrop of the demonstrations rejecting the "energy for water" agreement between Jordan and Israel.

Jordanian and Arab tweeters and activists interacted with the hashtag #Freedom_Lans_Al-Jamal, which topped the Jordanian trend hours after its release to demand his release, following news that the Jordanian authorities refused to include him with the detainees who obtained release decisions yesterday, Monday.

Anas's mother, Mervat Abu Ghosh, posted on her Facebook account, "Yesterday, the bail was refused and we received a threat from the director of the governor's office, and he told us: Do not ask about Anas Al-Jamal for a month, and I advise his mother not to go (I advise his mother not to go) as long as she overcomes her condition." (straining herself)."

She added that her son was arrested without any charges "except for rejecting normalization, which every free citizen rejects. Without showing the governor, he is deported to a remote prison, and a high financial guarantee is placed on him, and he is prevented from communicating with us."

And she continued, "I will not remain silent about Anas' right, and I will sue you, and the complaint will take its course."

For his part, Lawyer Louay Obeidat announced that he had filed a complaint against the governor of Irbid over the detention of Al-Jamal, and wrote on his Facebook account, "We had discussions with colleagues regarding the issue of arresting the activist and free young activist Anas Al-Jamal without any legal basis or legitimate justification, and these dialogues culminated in an agreement on Submit a criminal complaint within the next two days against the governor of Irbid with the Irbid public prosecutor, on the subject of the kidnapping crime.

Obeidat added, "From today, we will not remain silent about their legal transgressions, and their abuse of the rights and freedoms of Jordanians, and we will not tolerate those who insult the dignity of the people of this people, and violate their humanity.

Tweeters demanded on a large scale the freedom of the activist Al-Jamal, the support of his family, which is the only breadwinner for him, and enabling him to return to his mother, his life and his work, denouncing what they called "the silence of mouths, the suppression of freedoms and the silencing of the free voice."

Anas was arrested in front of his booth and the door of his livelihood before participating in any anti-normalization sit-down or event.

And the governor of Irbid is forced and arrested without a legal basis, and even moves him to a place far from his residence, more than 200 km!!

For his part, the activist and released prisoner Sultan Al-Ajlouni pledged to commit to paying a monthly salary to the camel, and wrote through his Facebook account, "so that he does not think that the livelihood of the free is in his hand, and that he twists a free arm in his livelihood, I bear witness that I take care of the salary of the beloved Anas until his release, no matter how long it takes, I will try to hire him in an honorable job after he leaves.”

Anas is any of us citizen by raising his voice and he is not the god of a clan, a party or a group that stops by his side, so we are all today Anas # Freedom_Anas_Al-Jamal #normalization_betrayal pic.twitter.com/q1pa0sXIQe

Al-Jamal was arrested during the wave of protests against signing a letter of intent related to a joint agreement with the occupation, or what is known as the energy-for-water agreement.

Anas is not the son of a party, but we are all of his party.

Anas is not the son of a large clan, but we are all his clan

Forget, like all the hard-working young men of Jordan, who work day and night in order to live in dignity, and at the same time, they are not satisfied with the injustice that is happening in their country.

Anas was arrested because he intended to participate in the protest against normalization.

By God, if any of you had been arrested, Anas Al-Jamal would have been the first to stand up to defend him.

Shame on us if we publish and demand his freedom and stand with him. #Freedom_Anas_Al-Jamal #Normalization_Betrayal

#Freedom_Lans_Al-Jamal Al-Free, who understands well the meaning of being the source of authority as a part of the people, and who understands well the rashness of accusations such as "defying the state", and is not satisfied with decisions being taken by a group of will-thieves, apart from making criminal decisions against him. !#normalization_betrayal

The simplest thing you can offer is to defend the freedom of others, which is your freedom in general.. #Freedom_Anas_Al-Jamal
