An Egyptian expatriate in Kuwait in his fifties was killed yesterday morning, as a result of the explosion of a landmine from the remnants of the brutal Iraqi invasion near the water treatment plant opposite Julai'a Chalets, and the body of another Egyptian expatriate working as an anesthesia technician in one of the private clinics was found dead inside his apartment in the Hawalli area.

In the details of the first case, a Kuwaiti security source told the media that the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report stating that there was a landmine explosion in one of the expatriates in front of the Julai’a chalets, pointing out that upon receiving the report, the security men moved to the scene of the accident and saw the body of an Egyptian expatriate who had died. as a result of the explosion.

The source added that the security men summoned the forensic evidence men to the site, where the body was lifted and referred to the Forensic Medicine Department, noting that the security men also summoned the explosives engineering experts of the Kuwaiti army to comb the site in search of other mines in the same location.

In the other case, a security source said that a guard of a building in the Hawalli area informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior that a resident of the building had died inside his apartment several days ago.

The source added that as soon as the report was received, the security men and forensic men moved to the site of the communication and saw the body of the expatriate, who turned out to be working as an anesthesia technician in a private clinic, noting that the security men found suspicious materials next to the body, and it was proven that the death resulted from a criminal suspicion. .
