How does Magdalena Andersson think when she will form her new government, just over ten months before the election?

Ulf Bjereld, social democrat and political scientist, believes that she is facing a paradox.

- On the one hand, she wants to mark a new start for the Social Democrat government and Sweden.

On the other hand, there is a short time left until the election and there is a need for experience with the ministers, he says.

Kalle Sundin, investigator at the think tank Katalys, believes that Madgalena Andersson has been forced to rethink since the MP announced that they are leaving their five ministerial posts.

- Now it will be a big transformation whether she wants to or not.

Three clear favorites

There are two posts where the favorite is extra clear: Jytte Guteland as Minister of the Environment and Climate and Lawen Redar as the new Minister of Culture.

The post of Minister of Finance, the heaviest vacant ministerial post, is also said to be filled by a well-known name.

Göran Greider, editor-in-chief of the Social Democrat Dala Democrat, "fears" that it will be the current Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg.

- It would have been fun with a bang, for example Torbjörn Hållö or another LO economist.

But the risk is great that it will be Mikael Damberg and that he does not make such a big impression, he says.

Both Kalle Sundin and Ulf Bjereld believe that it will be Damberg, but both mention Emma Lennartsson and Fredrik Olovsson, both state secretaries, as possible candidates for the post.

- I think that Damberg is a rather controversial choice because Magdalena Andersson has signaled that she wants to go to the left.

In addition, it will be Stockholm-heavy on the heavier items, says Kalle Sundin.

Several possible peels

Kalle Sundin thinks it will be a bang on the bang front.

- I do not think that Magdalena Andersson is in a situation where she wants to shock or take in big bangs.

The goal is to signal renewal with experienced names.

but Emma Lennartsson would still be a little bang.

Ulf Bjereld believes that a former prime minister, who also took in Magdalena Andersson as an official in the 90s, can make a comeback.

- Never count out Göran Persson.

That would be a bang, he says.

- I say Daniel Suhonen just because it is impossible, says Göran Greider.
