According to RIA Novosti, the relevant document will be applicable to income from the sale of real estate received from January 1, 2021.

The innovation will affect the income from the sale of housing for families with two or more children, which are planned to be used to purchase new housing in order to improve their living conditions.

It is noted that new housing must be purchased in the same year when the old one was sold or no later than April 30 of the following year.

At the same time, the cadastral value of real estate that is sold should not exceed 50 million rubles and be more than the cadastral value of new housing.

At the time of the sale of real estate, none of the members of a large family should own another home, in which the total area is 50% larger than the acquired one.

The Federation Council previously supported the release of families with two children from personal income tax when selling an apartment.
