On Wednesday, LR members are invited to vote for the first round of the party congress which will nominate their candidate for the presidential election.

For the candidates, it is a question of polishing their speeches to try to convince as many people as possible before December 4, the closing date of the congress.

On Wednesday, December 1, members of the Republicans will begin to vote to nominate their candidate for the presidential election.

The five candidates will debate one last time on Tuesday evening before the opening of the electronic vote on Wednesday.

A two-round ballot, the final result of which will be known on December 4.

The week promises to be decisive for the Republicans.

Home straight for candidates

For the candidates, now is the time to throw their last strength into battle. To convince even the last member for this election, with the outcome more uncertain than ever. Eric Ciotti gathered 1,000 people yesterday in Le Cannet in the Alpes-Maritimes. The candidate wants to believe that the dynamic is in his favor after his successful performances in debate with an uninhibited right-wing political line. Michel Barnier also finished his pre-campaign at home on Sunday in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie. A given time favorite, the Savoyard marked the blow somewhat during the debates but he still embodies a credible solution for LR.

For her part, Valérie Pécresse will be in Boulogne-Billancourt this evening, near Paris, for what she presents as her "big first round meeting".

The president of the Île-de-France region should once again expand her program by then by making new proposals on security.

Finally, Xavier Bertrand will be in Rillieux-la-Pape near Lyon, after several meetings between Marseille and Nice this weekend.

Like his competitors, the boss of Hauts-de-France will have visited more than fifty LR federations in two months.

An intense pre-campaign therefore, which will end on Tuesday evening at the end of the last televised debate.
