A chaotic scene.

Sunday evening, a police officer was attacked by a group of young people in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

At around 7 p.m., the then off-duty official and his partner were kissing in a shopping center when four young people, dressed in football team tracksuits, masks and hoods, came up to them.

One of them called "Go on, spin it", pointing to the policeman's girlfriend.

The latter, who had not yet declined his quality, turned around and demanded an explanation, before being stabbed in the abdomen by one of the attackers.

A suspect already known to the police

It was not until he was ashore that the victim said he was a police officer. According to several sources, this would have caused the flight of the youth gang. At around 9 p.m., the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing was arrested at his mother's house, who lives a stone's throw from the Place d'Italie. According to information from Europe 1, local police immediately recognized him on CCTV tapes because he had already been checked a few days ago, on November 16, for suspected involvement in a brawl. The suspect was then wearing the same tracksuit (precisely that of Bayern Munich) as on Sunday, at the time of the attack. He was also wearing the same tracksuit bottom when he was arrested at his mother's house.

The 29-year-old policeman suffered serious kidney injuries.

He was operated on overnight and luckily his days are no longer in danger.

The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation at this stage into the counts of attempted murder.

The judicial police were also seized.
