There are rentals of apartments for SEK 20,000 to 30,000 a month in Skellefteå.

But the municipal housing company suspects that many who rent out their apartments in the second hand do not have a permit.

- Because the pressure on residential land is so great in Skellefteå, this is a problem that will increase, says Åsa Andersson, CEO of Skebo.

Skebo is now trying to control the tenants.

This by following social media, checking the population register, receiving tips from other tenants and asking the neighborhood landlords to note if any new tenants show up.

"Do not want a situation like in other cities"

The housing situation is very strained in Skellefteå.

It will take at least a year before the new apartments being built come on the market.

- It is an important thing to follow up on this so that there is no black rental.

We do not want a situation like it is in other major cities.

What happens if you rent out black?
