With our correspondent in Bamako,

Serge Daniel

In the local Bambara language, Imam Mahmoud Dicko addressed the Malian authorities: “

You are our sons!

God has given you the management of the country.

But we found that it is not going…

”He explains that he and other religious asked to meet the current Malian leaders to discuss the situation of the country, but for the moment, they are faced with a closed door.

Very political as usual, Imam Mahmoud Dicko who visibly seeks to reposition himself on the scene, this time evokes in French the relations of his country with abroad, in particular with the other member countries of the ECOWAS.

And there, locally, he clearly chooses the camp of the doves against that of the hawks.

I take the liberty of asking the international community, particularly neighboring and brother countries, especially those of ECOWAS, for their indulgence, their understanding and their support.

Our country is going through a difficult situation today.

The Malian people are grateful people, we are not ungrateful people.

 "

The supporters of the imam who contributed to the downfall of former Malian President IBK warn: from now on, we will hear him more and more often.
