Five percent of East Goths skip the seatbelt

The national average is 96 percent and the measurement is based on 350,000 observations carried out in all of the country's 290 municipalities.

- That year after year we have a lower belt use than the national average is not good.

Especially since an increasing proportion of the cars are now equipped with seat belt reminders, says NTF Östergötland's operations manager Lars Nordquist in a statement.

NTF's survey also shows that 13 percent of craft car drivers did not wear seat belts, and that women wear the seat belt to a slightly greater extent than men.
