After several months of investigation, the departmental road safety squadron (EDSR) of Puy-de-Dôme arrested on Tuesday a man suspected of being involved in sales of weapons of war on the Internet.

A real arsenal was discovered during the search of the suspect's home in Cournon, reports France Bleu Pays d'Auvergne.

In total, the police have put home on nearly 50 weapons: 10 weapons of war, 19 weapons of category B, 7 weapons of category C and 13 grenades.

120 kg of ammunition were also found.

4,900 euros in cash were discovered in this pavilion in a residential area.

33,000 euros were also seized from the suspect's bank accounts.

The latter, a retired soldier, was taken into police custody and then placed under judicial supervision.

He will be summoned to court in April 2022.
