Police officers in external service must be able to create trust by both setting boundaries and building relationships, Jonas Hansson explains.

This places high demands on mental balance.

- One day the police may have stones thrown at them and the next day they will be there and build relationships.

He says that the survey also showed that it is difficult to afford to have a bad day.

It can be about having slept badly or having a hard time in private.

You should then be able to take it up and be relieved.

-But if all patrols are then busy and there is a traffic accident with serious injuries or if someone jumped in front of the train, then you have to take it anyway, says Jonas Hansson.

He thinks that deficiencies in the mental health of police officers are a real problem that is not taken seriously.
