President Moon Jae-in will preside at a special quarantine inspection meeting at the Blue House tomorrow (29th) at 2 pm.

At tomorrow's meeting, we will evaluate the implementation of gradual daily recovery over the past four weeks and announce measures to strengthen quarantine.

At the beginning of this month, after the start of the gradual recovery of daily life, the number of confirmed cases of Corona 19 surged, and attention is being paid to what will be the result in a situation where a new mutant virus 'Omicron' has emerged.

It is the first time in four months that President Moon is presiding over a special quarantine inspection meeting since July 12 in the metropolitan area.

After the meeting, the comprehensive quarantine measures will be announced through a joint briefing with relevant government ministries.

It is known that the government is considering countermeasures by focusing on the expansion of quarantine passes, without considering an 'emergency plan' that suspends daily recovery.

In addition, it is reported that they are considering a plan to encourage additional vaccination by introducing an expiration date to the quarantine pass.

Tomorrow's meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Bu-gyeom Kim, Deputy Prime Minister of Economy Hong Nam-ki, Ministry of Education Yoo Eun-hye, Ministry of Health and Welfare Kwon Deok-cheol, Minister of Public Administration and Security Jeon Hae-cheol, and Commissioner of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Jeong Eun-kyung.
