Seven people were seriously injured in separate accidents, which occurred during the last weekend, according to the Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic in Dubai Police, Colonel Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan, noting that the accidents occurred as a result of the drivers of the vehicles causing the accidents committing serious violations.

He said that the first accident occurred last Thursday evening on the Dubai-Al Ain Road, opposite the Outlet Mall, between a light vehicle and a truck.

He pointed out that the second accident occurred in the evening of the same day, on Hessa Street, specifically at the Motor City intersection, when a motorcycle collided with a truck that was parked at the signal waiting for the movement to open. .

He explained that the third accident occurred on Friday morning on Al-Saada Street, when an Asian woman was seriously injured, as a result of an accident run over by a black Ford vehicle.

In a fourth accident, a person was seriously injured in an accident that hit a concrete barrier, which occurred on Friday morning on Al Awir Street, opposite the Chinese market, due to the vehicle deviating from its correct lane and hitting the concrete barrier separating the two streets.

He added that the fifth accident occurred on Friday evening on Tripoli Street, due to a motorcycle deviating from its correct lane, and colliding with the right iron barrier on the road. Colonel Juma bin Suwaidan pointed out that a sixth accident occurred, the day before yesterday, when a vehicle and a truck collided on Al Khail Street in the direction of the Business Bay Crossing. The accident resulted in severe injuries to the driver of the vehicle, while the vehicle was seriously damaged, and the truck was moderately damaged. He added that the seventh accident occurred between a light vehicle and a truck on Jebel Ali Port Street, and the reason was also due to not leaving enough distance between them, and the driver of the light vehicle was seriously injured, and the light and medium vehicle was seriously damaged.Bin Suwaidan indicated that as soon as these reports were received, the alternates of the Inspection Experts Department moved from the Traffic Accidents Department to the sites of those accidents to inspect and collect evidence, and to find out the reasons that led to their occurrence, while the traffic patrols organized traffic and secured the places of accidents, and facilitated the task of arriving Ambulances and rescue vehicles were dispatched to the place to carry out their duties, and the necessary measures were quickly taken. He appealed to drivers and road users to abide by the traffic laws, not to be occupied with anything other than the road while driving, to take care and caution on the roads, reduce speeds, leave a sufficient safety distance, adhere to the use of the seat belt, and not use phones to photograph or be preoccupied with other than the road.

He stressed the need to reduce speed, pay attention at corners, in low areas, and open roads, and the need to use warning signals in the event of a vehicle breakdown, and to work to move it outside the precincts of the road, in order not to impede traffic or the occurrence of collisions, and not to stop suddenly without giving a signal.
