November 28, 2021 Strong earthquake at sea off the coast of northern Peru.

The quake, of magnitude 7.5, was recorded about 42 kilometers north-west of Barranca.

This was reported by the US geological monitoring service Usgs. 



The epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean at a depth of 112.5 km.

Although the magnitude is extremely strong, the considerable depth should have reduced the consequences.

No tsunami warnings were issued.



The earthquake struck at 5:52 local time, 11.52 in Italy.
