Today, Saturday, the Tunisian General Labor Union announced that the union rejects “absolute support” for the actions of President Kais Saied, while Rashid Ghannouchi, the speaker of the frozen parliament, said that “the House of Representatives is returning, I love those who love and hate those who hate.”

"Our country has all the ingredients for success, but it did not find anyone to save it, and today it needs every patriotic soul to reform and save the country," said the Secretary-General of the Union, Noureddine Taboubi, in a speech on the sidelines of a symposium affiliated with the Union.

Taboubi added, "We expected the measures taken last July 25th by the president, and we said that a new option is necessary to build Tunisia's future, taking advantage of previous mistakes. whiteness".

He stressed that this position rejecting the union's declaration of its absolute support for the President of the Republic is the position of the union's institutions in consultation with its various structures and based on a participatory assessment of the situation and not a personal position of the Secretary-General of the labor organization or its leaders towards the executive authority.

On October 29, the Labor Union demanded, in a statement, Saeed to expedite the end of the exceptional situation in the country and to define prospects in a manner that provides conditions for stability and the continuation of building democracy.

Ghannouchi's position

On the other hand, Rashid Ghannouchi, the speaker of the frozen parliament, said that the parliament is returning, he loves those he loves and hates those he hates, according to him.

Ghannouchi stressed, in a meeting with the leaders of the Ennahda movement in the state of Bizerte (north), that Parliament is a constituent authority and has accomplished a lot, and that the enemies of the revolution worked to distort it, as he put it.

The official spokesman of the General Labor Union, Sami al-Tahri, said a few days ago that the union would not accept what he described as political and social desertification, and the abolition of the role of national parties and organizations in the country.

Al-Tahri considered the measures announced by President Kais Saied a legitimate event and a historic opportunity, noting that it is not possible to return to the previous parliament.

On July 25, Saeed announced exceptional measures, including freezing parliament, lifting the immunity of his deputies, canceling the constitutionality monitoring body, issuing legislation by presidential decrees, heading the Public Prosecution, dismissing the prime minister, and assuming the executive authority with the help of a government that appointed Najla Boden as its head.
