The record has so far been held by ex-hooker Didier Bès, who presented the 35-year-old third wing with a trophy at the end of the match.

"I wanted to hide the emotion of this match, to ignore all that but I did not succeed, admitted the Montpellier. I will however savor this moment and the victory."

Ouedraogo, trained at the Pic Saint-Loup school alongside his friend and former Montpellier resident François Trinh-Duc, is playing his sixteenth and final season at MHR, with which he made his debut on May 20, 2005 against Biarritz.

The flanker, still looking for a first French championship title, played two Top 14 finals, lost to Toulouse in 2011 and Castres in 2018, but won the European Challenge twice (2016 and 2021).

Fulgence Ouedraogo, who accompanied the emergence of the MHR at the highest level, will leave a deep imprint.

"We gave Fufu a good gift. I congratulate him on having succeeded in his 332nd game. He is a player of one club and of impressive professionalism," said Montpellier manager Philippe Saint-André.

Thanks to this fourth victory in a row, Montpellier occupies third place in the championship and is in the race for the final phase.
