November 27, 2021 Pope Francis will also celebrate Christmas Eve Mass this year, on December 24, at 7.30 pm.

This was reported by the Vatican information portal, reporting the calendar of celebrations presided over by Bergoglio for the Christmas period.

Last year the mass was brought forward due to the curfew, two hours earlier than the time of 9.30 pm in which the celebration was held (since the years in which Benedict XVI was the Pope) in the Vatican basilica.



The first appointment in the calendar, announced today by the Office of Liturgical Celebrations, as relaunched by the Vatican portal, is that of 23 December at 10.00 for the greetings to the Roman Curia, in the Sala Clementina. Then, the beginning of the Christmas calendar: on 24 December at 7.30 pm Francis presides over the Christmas Eve Mass in St. Peter's Basilica. On the morning of Saturday 25 December at 12 the traditional "Urbi et Orbi" blessing.



On Friday 31st, the Pope will preside over First Vespers and Te Deum in thanksgiving for the past year in St. Peter's Basilica at 5 pm.

On the first day of the new year, 55th World Day of Peace and Solemnity of Mary Most Holy Mother of God, the Pope presides over Mass at 10 am as well as on January 6, the Solemnity of the Epiphany always at 10 am. On January 9, in the Chapel Sistina, at 9.30, Francis will preside over the Mass and the Baptism of some children.
