The 48 hours of harassment from Morocco to Spain using 8,000 immigrants in Ceuta
About thirty immigrants of Maghreb origin have starred this Saturday in an attempt to jump over the double fence of
Melilla
.
Fifteen of them have managed to access the autonomous city in which it is the first coordinated entry registered since the crisis with
Morocco
in May 2021, when thousands of people entered Ceuta and Melilla irregularly.
As a spokesman for the Government Delegation has informed Europa Press, "at around 10 am a group of about 30 Maghrebis, helped by stairs, tried to access Melilla through the Chinatown pass."
The government spokesman added that, "despite the rapid action of the Civil Guard and the collaboration of the Moroccan Forces, 15 of them have managed to access Melilla."
The event is the first of its kind since the migration crisis in May, as a result of the access of more than 10,000 Moroccans to Ceuta on May 17 and 18 and hundreds in subsequent days in Melilla.
