China News Service, Toronto, November 27. Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly issued a statement on November 26, calling on Canadians to leave Ethiopia immediately.

Joli said that Canada is deeply concerned about the rapidly deteriorating security situation in Ethiopia.

Since November 18, the Canadian government has called on Canadians to avoid all travel to Ethiopia.

She said that if the situation in Ethiopia continues to deteriorate, the capacity of commercial flights may soon become limited.

Ruoli emphasized that, in the final analysis, Canadians living in a foreign country are responsible for their own safety and should make the best decisions for themselves and their families based on their personal circumstances.

Recently, armed conflicts have intensified in northern Ethiopia.

On November 2, the Ethiopian Federal Government declared a six-month state of emergency throughout the country.
