It is the order of closure of the investigation which made the decision of a trial. The two opponents, Reckya Madougou and Joël Aivo will be tried respectively for "financing of terrorism" and "conspiracy against state security and money laundering". These offenses have not changed despite the hearings of the defendants before the investigating committee and the observations of their lawyers.

The decision was notified to counsel, Reckya Madougou and Joël Aivo in their place of detention.

A relative of the constitutional expert said she was "

devastated

", she hoped for a dismissal.

One of Reckya Madougou's lawyers is "

stunned

", believing that "

the judges of Criet lacked courage

".

The opponent's lawyers still insist that the file is empty.

They also made two unsuccessful requests for release.

No date has yet been given for the opening of the trial, but we learn that Criet opens its criminal session on December 6.

"

It is likely that they will be programmed

" said a connoisseur of the backstage of Beninese justice.
