The elected Marc Morisset, recently excluded from the Ecology and Solidarity group, disrupted the meeting of the Metropolitan Council which was held this Friday, by refusing to wear a mask.

On his Facebook page, he explains: "I don't want to wear the mask since the elected officials spoke without the mask, so the logic was not to wear it when we weren't talking".

His positions on vaccination and wearing a mask have already earned him an exclusion from the Ecology and Solidarity group and a resignation request from his running mate in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, without his complying. .

Isolated and without the right to speak

This Friday, the president of the metropolis Alain Anziani (PS) asked the prefect to know what was the procedure to follow.

A small break in the session took place while the tables were rearranged around him in order to isolate him from the rest of the elected officials and respect social distancing.

An interruption which exasperated some of the elected officials present, including Fabien Robert (Bordeaux Ensemble).

Marc Morisset no longer has the floor during the council, unless he puts on his mask, which is compulsory inside the buildings.

The elected representative had also asked that all the deliberations, 161 this day, be ungrouped on the grounds that he wanted to intervene on each of them.

This would have considerably lengthened the debates ...
