The Sweden Democrats stand as one of the clear winners after the turbulent days in the Riksdag.

According to Jimmie Åkesson, the budget vote was one of the biggest successes in the party's history.

- It has been chaotic but politically a very successful week, he says.

- This is the first time that we actually get through heavy politics.

We are involved in influencing the state budget, it is clear that this is the biggest thing.

"Want a strict minimum level"

The party's national days, the party's highest decision-making body, are currently taking place in Karlstad.

One of the points is a proposal to create greater incentives and encourage people with an immigrant background to return to the country they originally came from.

The party program does not state which immigrant groups these are specifically.

- We want a strict minimum level when it comes to asylum reception, but we must also start talking about how people who should not be in Sweden can return.

How can we enforce more deportations, how can we stimulate voluntary return for those who have not succeeded in integrating into Swedish society, says Jimmie Åkesson.

- The return we are going to discuss here is based entirely on voluntariness.

SVT:

Can you understand that it can feel pointing?

- The most pointing thing must still be to live in a country year after year without in any way taking part in that country's traditions, ways of living or even learning the language.

It can not be a particularly pleasant existence.
