The organ donation program in the UAE revealed that the number of recipients since its inception reached 230 recipients (from 20 nationalities) for organs provided by 59 post-mortem donors of 13 nationalities.
The organizers of the "Organ Donation Program in the United Arab Emirates" recently organized a tour of a number of medical edifices in Abu Dhabi, for the most prominent specialists contributing to donation and organ transplantation from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and a number of Arab and international countries, such as Jordan, Spain, the United States. The most prominent specialists contributing to organ donation and transplantation were invited to exchange experiences and introduce the positives and distinct capabilities of the UAE program, which has a distinguished program for organ transplantation.
