In a bulletin issued by it, it identified nine signs that appear on the student who is being bullied at school, on the occasion of the fifth national week for the prevention of bullying, which was launched on the 20th of this November, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Supreme President For the Family Development Foundation “Mother of the Emirates”, explaining that the most important signs of bullying are extreme sadness, constant loss of personal belongings and belongings, persistent complaints of harassment at school, inability to sleep or seeing persistent nightmares while sleeping, fear of riding the bus, and the increasing demand for money. The Ministry urged the student who is being bullied to contact the Child Protection Unit in the Ministry via the number 80085 or the e-mail cpu@moe.gov.ae, stressing the need for the student to trust himself, inform his parents in the event of bullying, and inform his teacher or student guide at the school. He confronts the bully and tells him that it affects him negatively.

She called on the bully to think before acting, to apologize to the person who bullied him, and to be positive with others, noting the importance of the family’s role in promoting positive behaviors among their children, and for parents to be good role models for their children, and urge them to exercise to unload their energies, while a family must The student who is being bullied should encourage him and enhance his self-confidence, and communicate with the school to reduce bullying, and know the rights of her son.

A ninth-grade student said, in a video presented by the Ministry of Education on social media, that she was bullied by her classmates during the seventh grade, who spoke bad words to her and tried to hit her, due to her poor eyesight and wearing glasses, until she had to leave the glasses in home while she's going to school, so they don't make fun of her.

The student added that she faced bullies, until she was able to overcome the challenge of bullying, and began writing her story, the state of bullying and its effects on people, and ways to treat it.

The Minister of Education, Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, stressed that the responsibility is shared to unify efforts, with the aim of making educational institutions in the country pulsate with optimal values ​​that maintain them safe, interactive and reject all extraneous behavior.

He added that the National Bullying Prevention Week is an educational message aimed at spreading positive thinking in school and university communities and the general community.

For her part, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for the Care and Capacity Building Sector, Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, stated that the Ministry of Education adopts many targeted and fruitful programs to prevent and treat bullying, in the context of the school curriculum, and pay attention to modern methods, and use them in preventing bullying. Such as preparing innovative videos, teaching children self-confidence and flexibility, developing skills, instilling values ​​and the spirit of tolerance, and encouraging and motivating students.

She called on the students not to underestimate the impact of the word on others, as the positive word encourages them and makes them rise and progress, while the negative word may destroy the one directed at him, and make him retreat and withdraw.
