A final year student was allegedly assaulted when leaving the toilets of the Charles-de-Gaulle high school in Longperrier (Seine-et-Marne).

The teenager was allegedly hit on the head by another student in his class.

Other of his comrades, whose number and involvement are still unknown, are said to have intervened.

Discovered the swollen face by a supervisor, the student was taken to hospital, reports

The main suspect was arrested on the spot, taken into police custody and then released.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the violence would originate from an altercation between the two protagonists which had occurred two days earlier in front of a weight room in Roissy-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne).

While waiting for the next disciplinary council, the two students will have to stay at home.
