November 25, 2021: New riots in Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands.

After the attempted assault on Parliament, following which the authorities imposed a curfew, another protest took place, in which clashes with the police took place, to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare.

Local media report that the rioters carried out looting and that the police used tear gas to disperse them.

At the origin of the protest there would be the government decision, taken in 2019, to have formal relations with China instead of Taiwan.
