Krasnov said this during his speech in the State Duma.

“There can be no talk of any political background here,” the Attorney General said.

He also explained why the Prosecutor General's Office is requesting a preventive measure for Rashkin in the form of a ban on certain actions.

“The measure of restraint that we are asking for is sufficiently justified, because Valery Fyodorovich is well acquainted with these persons with whom he was there and, of course, can have an impact,” said the Prosecutor General.

Krasnov also asked the State Duma to agree to initiate criminal and administrative proceedings against the deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Valery Rashkin.

Earlier, Rashkin, in a video message on YouTube, confessed to killing an elk.

He noted that while hunting with a thermal imager, he saw the silhouette of an artiodactyl, which outwardly resembles a large wild boar.

The State Duma commission on mandate issues recommended to approve the deprivation of parliamentary immunity from a member of the Communist Party faction Valery Rashkin after the incident with the elk.
