Isérois sentenced to 10 years in prison for raping his partner

The trial of a 30-year-old man was held this Tuesday before the criminal court of Isère.

The accused was to answer for rapes on two former companions, between 2010 and 2012 for the first and 2013 and 2017 for the second, reports

.

His second companion explained that she was suffocated by a pillow during these rapes, then woke up with slaps.

"He told me he was raping me because I wasn't giving him all the sex he wanted," added the victim.

Ten years in prison

A psychiatrist and a psychologist underlined the “failing construction” of the thirty-something, who grew up in an incestuous and violent environment.

The man was eventually found guilty of the rapes, only on his second partner.

He was acquitted of the facts denounced by the other complainant.

He was sentenced to ten years in prison and a five-year socio-judicial follow-up.
