• Covid USA celebrates Thanksgiving in the shadow of the coronavirus pandemic

Many of the employees in the United States of the largest private company in the world by volume of business,

Walmart,

owe Covid-19, for the second year in a row, to be able to spend Thanksgiving with their families.

Because Walmart is a supermarket chain and, like many other companies in that sector, it is always open on Thanksgiving Day.

The reason is that the day after Thanksgiving, at twelve and one minute at night,

'Black Friday'

begins

,

that is, the largest day of sales in the country, which owes its name, precisely, to the fact that It supposes that it is in that day when the stores leave the "red numbers" and enter in "black numbers", that is, in benefits. And, to have everything ready, you have to open before. Or, better, not close. Because 'Black Friday' is such an incredible thing that

almost every year there is a crushing death.

But, with

just 59% of the population vaccinated

- less than in Morocco or Sri Lanka - the deaths of 'Black Friday' (or, in English, 'Black Friday') would not be from crushing while looking for a washing machine or some cheap pants. They would be for Covid-19. So Walmart and other retail giants have decided to send employees home to celebrate the gargantuan Thanksgiving meal.

The problem is that, in that house, the workers are almost certainly going to find relatives who have not been vaccinated.

And they also do not want to be vaccinated, because, it is already known, the vaccine carries a microchip, makes men women and women men, kills more than Covid, or, according to some other versions, attacks the soul.

And that raises several practical problems.

The first, how to eat next to Uncle Frank (and, in this case, the author of these lines is talking about a very real person), a firm follower of the QAnon conspiracy theory, who not only is not going to get vaccinated, but Who is not quite convinced that the Rothschilds do not control THE WORLD, as they do with the rest of the media on Earth?

Obviously, with a mask you don't eat, or turkey or anything.

So the American media have suggested some possible solutions.

The most obvious, the traditional "let the air run."

In other words,

dining in the garden, something that many houses in the US have.

And, if you live in an apartment, open the windows and let there be power.

The problem is that on November 25, this strategy can save from Covid at the cost of causing another respiratory disease, known as pneumonia. In Tampa at 2:00 p.m. yesterday it was 23 degrees Celsius, but in Washington, it was only 9, and in Denver, it was 6. That guarantees a family dinner with the same joy as those that are sometimes celebrated when, after the death of a loved one, the distribution of the inheritance is discussed. Other options, such as

separating the diners

- on the one hand, the vaccinated, on the other those who are not - are viable from a health point of view, but not for someone who has traveled 3,000 or 4,000 kilometers to go to dinner with the family.

The second problem is what to talk about. Here, Americans, who used to be trusting by nature, have shown an adaptability that would make Darwin himself proud:

more than half of the population say they have stopped discussing political issues as a family.

With half the country calling the other half "fascists" or "communists" the consensus is problematic.

Some suggest trying to approach positions with innocuous ideas, such as showing interest in how the interlocutor makes decisions, what events have marked him in life and, from there, trying to understand what his mental mechanism is like and trying to explain to him that the same Pfizer that Does the viagra for which the leaflet has not been read is the one for the vaccine. It is a course of action perhaps effective in theory, but problematic when you are eating stuffed turkey that has a capacity to cause drowsiness similar to that of a Valium (to follow the pharmacopoeia). And, furthermore, if one is informed by a Telegram channel, and thinks that the one next to him works for the Rothschilds (or Soros), the capacity for conviction is low. The best thing this Thanksgiving is to eat little, speak nothing and try to breathe as little as possible. And go to the Walmart sales as soon as possible.
