FT: WHO calls emergency meeting over COVID-19 strain found in South Africa and Botswana

As previously reported by the media, scientists have identified a new strain of coronavirus in Botswana, South Africa and Hong Kong, which could potentially become the most dangerous variant of COVID-19.

This variant of COVID-19 was named B.1.1.529, with an "incredibly high" number of mutations recorded.
