Doctors reported on the condition of victims of an emergency at a mine in Kuzbass

"Five people were hospitalized in a serious condition, the remaining 36 in a state of moderate severity," the doctors said.

According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, 236 people have already been brought to the surface of the mine.

Rescue work continues.

According to TASS, citing a source in the emergency services, the cause of the emergency was the ignition of coal dust in the ventilation shaft.

According to him, after that the smoke spread through the ventilation throughout the mine. 

“There was no explosion, there was no damage to the mine,” the source said.

Earlier, the Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kemerovo Region began checking on the fact of an emergency in a mine working at OOO Mine Listvyazhnaya on November 25.
