It has been a tough debate climate before the Söderhamn City Council's decision on possible wind power at Storgrundet.

There has been both hatred and threats - not least against municipal politicians.

On Monday, the decision will be made and Maria Tiger Bodlund, who lives in Enskär for the summer, hopes that the politicians will vote for a veto.

- To give time for a factual, constructive and above all local debate so that Söderhamn can have a future wind power establishment that more people can stand behind, she says.

Easy to dismiss

- I have a strong connection to the Söderhamn archipelago and I understand that the wind farm on Storgrundet arouses emotions.

But we do not need a heated debate on climate change and wind turbines.

It is easy to dismiss criticism made with hatred and threats.

Posts to politicians

In order to have a factual dialogue, she has sent her statement to all ordinary members of Söderhamn's City Council.

- A veto now would enable a better dialogue between the municipality, the wind power company and the people and organizations affected by the wind farm at Storgrundet.

In the clip, Maria Tiger Bodlund tells why she wants a more objective debate about the wind power investment at Storgrundet.
